We kicked off our season with a staged reading of Lauren Gunderson's "The Taming" on Inauguration Day! Inspired by Shakespeare's Shrew, two political opposites end up in a strange hotel room with a beauty queen running the show.  How far will they go to defend themselves and their country?  Southern Fried Politics, y'all.

Our Spring Teaser is a workshop reading of a one-act by our very own Rebekah Suellau.  When the captain of the varsity squad fails to make the Homecoming Court, the social structure of Betton Hills High threatens to crumble in the span of a single cheerleading practice.  Cheerleaders meet Othello via Bertolt Brecht.

Our summer feature is Space Girl by Mora V. Harris. Arugula is your typical teenage girl trying to fit in at a new school. But she doesn't just feel like an alien...she is one. Toss roller derby, budding sexuality and salad into the mix and saving the human race has never been more complicated. This brand new comedy explores what it means to be human from the perspective of one who is not.

Rounding out our season is our immersive horror experience, Dangerous Women. Real women. Real crimes. Real fun! Part haunted house, part new works festival, this Halloween extravaganza brings together original shorts by a myriad of lady playwrights, in a horrifying and darkly hilarious homage to the Grand-Guignol.
